3DRTT (3D Radiation Therapy Treatment)

Part of this project is a 3D graphical simulation web-based tool that can be used as a stand alone application to assist in external treatment planning by visually simulating collisions between various LINAC hardware modules. The system is based on X3D and Java programming that allows for accurate simulation of several Linear Accelerators hardware modules. The system helps medical personel to determine the 3D collision space for a patient and is independent of any computing platform. See more details by clicking on the image.

HaptEK-16 (Haptic Environments for K16)

The term haptic is derived from the Greek haptikos, meaning "able to touch." Haptics is the science of applying tactile sensation to computer applications in order to enable users to receive feedback in the form of felt sensations. In this project we are focusing on promoting haptics feedback by presenting a large set of applications that would benefit from the recent developments in Haptics hardware and software especially simulation and training tools for education. 3DRDV (3D Radiation Dosage Visualization)

Radiation dosage and associated maps are obtained as a result of complex procedures and calculations. Creation of 3D maps of the radiation dose for a patient from existing DICOM-RT information allows visualization in three dimensions of the patient organs impacted by radiation. In this project we explore algorithms and optimization techniques for such large datasets visualization in real-time. For illustration click on the image.
